Amber Jewell is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, the highest social work license in Kansas. She has more than 15 years of experience working with youth and families in child protective services, education, and mental health services. She has worked in clinical, administrative, and direct-service roles, including six years as a supervisor, case manager, and adoption specialist at Saint Francis Community Services. She currently serves as a school social worker and curriculum coordinator for a Kansas school district.
Amber is a foster care alumna and a former caseworker. She is currently a foster and adoptive parent herself. That combination gives her a vantage point on both sides of the child welfare system. She is trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention and trauma-informed care.
Amber is the nationally published author of Finding Hope: The 12 Keys to Healing Hardships, Hurts, and Sorrow. She speaks widely as a motivational speaker on hope, resilience, and healing. She also runs Finding Hope, LLC, her private practice for therapy, consulting, and training.
Amber serves as secretary for the Kansas chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and for the Kansas Family Advisory Network. She is also a board member of the Kansas Citizen Review Board.
